TBRI® Georgia
Global Impact has partnered with The Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University to bring Trust-Based Relational Intervention® to the State of Georgia under the umbrella of TBRI® Georgia.
TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.
The Rome Collaborative is the first TBRI® Community Collaborative in the State of Georgia and is the epicenter for the TBRI® Georgia initiative. This collaborative is educating and equipping caregivers and professionals from the Division of Family and Children Services, Juvenile Court, City & County School System, Medical & Dental Community, Law Enforcement, and a host of other organizations that touch our at-risk children and families, with the knowledge and skills to provide hope and healing.
