With over 3 billion of the over 7 billion people on the earth still having no access to the gospel, decreasing funds from the evangelical church going to the work of reaching these hard places, and decreasing numbers of “professional missionaries” available, mission organizations see the need for the local church to take the mission of Jesus on itself.
Global Impact recognized this need and answered the call by mobilizing professionals who use their vocations to earn a living by working in hard places and making disciples as Jesus commanded. Through this model, Global Impact has sponsored service professionals in medicine, education, and business living as permanent residents in 5 different countries in Central Asia, the Middle East, West Africa, and South America.
Due to the orphan and foster care crisis’ around the world, Global Impact now focuses on child advocacy and family restoration. Domestically, Global Impact has already produced multiple replicable and sustainable models of service provision that bring innovative and comprehensive care to our children, birth parents, foster & adoptive parents, kinship caregivers, and care communities. These models/ministries include The James House Project, Hope Village, and Restoration Rome.
